Production Title: CLOSER TO BOTTOM
This No Budget Feature Film has been in the planning stages for months and we are gearing up to start shooting weekends and evenings in October. We need highly capable assistants to the producers for pre-production and planning as well as for organizing during the production itself. Our Production Assistants will wear many hats from administrative, to crew, to being a set extra on camera. Every department has a need for assistants. We need dedicated student help who will commit to this project until completion.
We also need people interested in helping design and maintain the web and social media campaigns of this independent film project. Possible internship credit may be available.
CLOSER TO BOTTOM is a Latino coming-of-age film being shot on location in Austin and in a studio in San Antonio. As a No Budget Project, all qualified cast and crew will have an ownership stake in the project through our Cine Coop.
Because no one is getting paid upfront to work on this project, we are seeking two or three part-time volunteers for each role in the production (not including principal actors). Backup personnel for each position will help assure us that competent people will be there when the production needs it. For much of the Fall Semester, students will perform much of their work on phones and the Internet and on-location once shooting begins.
