Meet our student interns!

Exciting things are coming to the Latino Media Studies program and we now have two public relations students to help us bring them to you.

Our new interns, Mady (left) and Ale (right), at a Black Keys concert in May.

Meet Mady and Ale. Both students are public relations majors and participate in the Latino Media Studies program. They have an interest in better understanding the growing Latino community and the media and setting themselves apart by preparing for their future careers through this amazing program.

“Reading what the Latino Media Studies program was all about on their website and what it can offer me as a student was what sold me!” Mady said.

Mady is a junior with a passion for writing and reading. In addition to being a public relations co-director for us, she is also an intern for Social Communications and a social media director for Cynch Inc. She is the former public relations director for the UT Austin student-run radio station, 91.7 KVRX FM, and a former blog director for Bliss Bridal Magazine + Blog. She has an obsession with Coco Chanel, Disney and Sailor Moon.

Ale is a sophomore with a passion for writing and antiquing. She is very excited about being a public relations co-director for the Latino Media Studies program. She hopes to work for the Make-A-Wish foundation in the future and has a goal of shaking the hand of one of the Presidents of the United States one day.

Mady and Ale can’t wait to get this ball rolling and neither can we!
