About the Center for Media Justice
CMJ is a movement-building communications strategy and advocacy center for grassroots leaders and organizations based in historically disenfranchised communities nationwide. Our work builds the power of movements for racial justice, economic equity, and human rights to become more effective, transformative, and collaborative.
CMJ works with organizing groups and movement-building alliances nationwide to transform communications policies, strategies, and practices in the service of racial and economic justice through the Justice Communications Program, the Media Justice Movement Building Program, and our signature project, the Media Action Grassroots Network. As an emerging leader in the movement for media justice and communication rights, CMJ is committed to building a staff team and organization that is collaborative, strategic, and effective.
