Description: Under Lula, the Brazilian economy has thrived in a sustainable way not seen in decades, and the media landscape has also evolved. However, these changes also involve tension among old and new actors in the marketplace. Floriano Filho is a Brazilian journalist with TV Senado (the equivalent of C-SPAN 2) currently living in the D.C. metropolitan area as an American Political Science Association and Fulbright Congressional Fellow.
