Once outed, man hosts gay Spanish-language radio show

Roberto Hernández has been on a crusade since he was outed on the El Show de Raul Brindis y Pepito radio show in 2002 and received a $270,000 settlement in 2005. Since then, he started a nonprofit organization to fight homophobia in the Latin community and launched his own radio program.
Hernández settled a lawsuit against his former employer Univision Radio, the largest Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the United States, in 2005, after a morning radio show prank. In 2002, he was forced out of the closet when he unwittingly was an on-air guest on the Raul Brindis’s morning radio show El Show de Raul Brindis y Pepito out of Houston, Texas.
