Job Shadowing Opportunities through Texas Exes

The Texas Exes Student Chapter invites members to participate in their annual Job Shadowing program during UT’s official Spring Break – March 12-16, 2007 (If you’re not a member, be sure to check them out!). Over 240 Texas Exes across the state registered to participate this year, and they are looking forward to connecting with outstanding Longhorn students. This is an excellent opportunity to explore different career paths and workplaces with help from alumni volunteers.
Job Shadowing connects current UT students with Texas Exes based on similar career interests. Interested students browse a database of participating alumni, and they can search by various categories, read alumni job descriptions, and concentrate on specific locations across the state. Once a student makes a selection in the database, the student contacts the Texas Ex by phone and/or email, and they coordinate an opportunity to meet. Shadowing can range from sharing a day in the office to a phone conversation or lunch.
If you are interested in participating, please visit the link below. You will be taken to a login page where you will need to login to the Texas Exes website. “First Time Users” can register by clicking the link on the screen. Previous users will locate a password reminder link on the same screen. Once you verify your identity using a unique username and password, you may click on the Job Shadowing link under your profile.
