The Center for Politics in Governance is commemorating its public introduction by convening a conference, “The Future is Now: the Hispanic Impact on American Politics and Government,” from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Thompson Conference Center. The conference looks at the changing impact of the Hispanic community on the American political landscape and includes some of the nation’s most prominent political experts, academics and community leaders, The conference is aimed at recognizing, understanding and expanding the role of Hispanic Americans in the political arena both in Texas and the nation.
